About Kenshi:

A free-roaming squad based RPG focusing on open-ended sandbox gameplay features rather than a linear story. Be a trader, a thief, a rebel, a warlord, an adventurer, a farmer, a slave, or just food for the cannibals.

Research new equipment and craft new gear. Purchase and upgrade your own buildings to use as safe fortified havens when things go bad, or use them to start up a business. Aid or oppose the various factions in the world while striving for the strength and wealth necessary to simply survive in the harsh desert. Train your men up from puny victims to master warriors. Carry your wounded squad mates to safety and get them all home alive.

Kenshi Features:

Freeform gameplay in a seamless game world in the largest single-player RPG world since Daggerfall, stretching over 870 square kilometers. The game will never seek to limit you or restrict your personal play style.

Custom design as many characters as you want and build up a whole squad to fight for you. Characters will grow and become stronger with experience, not just in their stats but their appearance too.

Original take on the RTS-RPG hybrid genre. No “hero” characters with artificially stronger stats than everybody else- Every character and NPC you meet is potentially an equal, and has a name, a life.

You are not the chosen one. You’re not great and powerful. You don’t have more ‘hitpoints’ than everyone else. You are not the center of the universe, and you are not special. Unless you work for it.

Build a base where you can research new technologies, upgrade your defences and craft new gear.

Purchase and upgrade your own buildings to use as safe fortified havens when things go bad, or use them to start up a business.

Variation and possibilities of gameplay. Be good, be evil, be a businessman, be a thief, live in a town, live in the desert, travel alone, travel in hordes, build a fortress, raze a city. Devote yourself to freeing slaves, or maybe end up a slave yourself.

Dynamic, ever changing world. Support or hinder whoever you wish, or keep to yourself, the world won’t stop moving. This is not just a “game”, you are living and surviving in a simulated world.

Get captured by cannibals and eaten alive, or sold off by slavers and forced to work in the mines. These are not scripted events, just a regular part of this chaotic world that ruins your life by chance. Anything can happen, yet anything can be overcome if you have the strength.

Absolutely no Level-scaling. The world does not level up along with you, and the shops don’t change their inventory to only items matching your level. At the start of the game almost everyone will be stronger than you, and survival will always be a struggle. The game won’t hold your hand or help you when you’re down.

Realistic medical system that affects gameplay. A character with a wounded leg will limp or crawl and slow the party down, wounded arms means you must use your sword one-handed or not at all. Severe injuries will result in amputees needing robotic limb replacements. Blood loss means you can pass out, and the blood will attract predators. A character’s stats are affected by equipment, encumbrance, blood loss, injuries and starvation.

Intelligent AI that allows for characters to reason and work towards long-term goals and desires. Squads work together and carry their wounded to safety. Characters can be setup to take care of micromanagement for you and run production in your base.

Aid or oppose the various factions in the world while striving for the strength and wealth necessary to simply survive in the harsh environment.

  1. Best kenshi tip.

Just keep going. Your attempt at robery fails, you got arrested and enslaved? Just keep going. Dont reload an old save. Just. Keep. Going.

Some of your folks will die, just keep going.

You lose your fortune? Just keep going.

Thats all you need. To just keep going. You'll learn as you go on and the fact is, the characters you made at the start will likely die. But do long as even just one lives, keep. Going.

  2. How can I get slaves? And I don’t mean like slave shops can I like go find some escaped slaves or just beat people or something and make them my slaves?

  3. Another tip, although this video is rather old, or more like a trick.
If you have a bounty on your head, and a certain city is being attacked by a huge group of people, and brought to police
You can carry your bounty head to them, if their cells are full of attackers, they will drop your bounty person outside, since cells are full.

  4. take this game slap abit more graphic and give it a 3rd person mode and bam you got ur self an awesome RPG it still is awesome but wouldnt mind these things 🙂

  5. "when you start, you're not just some weak character with no skills…"

*gets hopeful, waits to hear the up side…. *

    "you're also poor."

    Well shit.

  6. maybe my playthrough is glitched i found spots in stores wehre you can steal and not get caught.. i would sit there and steal and steal and steal till i got the item. i learned if noone is around you they wont be able to find you if you get caught. trick is you need to fail it once and see how they path and find the spot. the "spot" is an area that stays blue/yello when u get caught

  7. Or produce large amounts if hash for ez money, have like 30-50 guys farming and processing the hash have another 10-20 mining… then have a main squad for fighting I usually have 50+ in this including my main 5 guys and I only recruit my race so sometimes it slows the recruiting speed haha but yeah it's good fun being able to run in towns and just flatten everyone

  8. I literally just started playing this week….one of the best tips I can offer so far is…..use a dead body as a rucksack for a while it allows you allot more storage for looting and mining…works your strength and agility abit too i think

  9. My first character Ever is in your party!!! I started a char, and his random name was Dirt!!! oh dirt how i miss thee… we traveled the desert together..

  10. Dude your video needs structure so badly. You can't just ramble on and expect people to keep up with the points you're making.

  11. Pro-tip for newbies: Install some mods. But if you want to play vanilla, AT LEAST install the mod "General Modifications". It is a MUST HAVE. Read the mod description and you will know why. Unless you want a very tech advanced outpost where your settlers still extract copper manually… :v

  12. Explore ruins for good loot. There is a good crossbow on one of the east islands you can swim to. You can get at the very beginning of the game and use it till the end.

  13. Skinners roam is a good place to build a base. It has copious amounts of stone, copper, iron, wind (Energy), and 60% water. Its close to cities and the bandits are on the easier side. Only down side is it’s hard to grow veggies (still possible) and massive armies of hungry bandits roam the place.

  14. Pausing the game and looting a bandit playing dead, keep doing it over and over. it will raise your thievery super fast.

  15. Jesus I waited so long for your to show something on screen related to what you were saying. This isn't worth the time if you're not going to show what you're talking about.
