domnation22 · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

Dear Chris we love looking at your videos and insights as they are clear, concise and thoughtful. Like going through the 7 drawfes GOLDMINE.We had a quick question if we travel between Shanghai on transit visa (we stay 5 days) directly to HK (7) is it necessary for us to get a full visa for china ? to cover HK and Shanghai?I,m UK and he is Swiss passports – we have looked up every conceivable website but they just refer to Chinese visa. Our major plan for next year is to do the three parks, only after watching many of your videos. Thanks again for your videos and we look forward to hearing from you take care Dom

We went there on a weekday last year we rode almost all of the extreme rides first then light ride after lunch because we anticipate the long line with the popular rides. And indeed go there on a weekday!

goatsimulatorprprthe2 · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

I rode more rides in HK:OP than in HK:DL, I think it's because Disneyland's more popular in Christmas-New Year. Trust me, there are LITTLE TO NO visitors in Oceanpark when it's Christmas or New Year. Been there alot of times and it's A BLAST in there.

What is the premiere language are they using in Hong Kong Disneyland? English?

Showman87 · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

I definitely want to visit Hong Kong Disneyland one of these days, thanks so much for the great tips!

Louis Shek · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

What I suggest is see the shows first and it should be afternoon the lines are short and after you might go on a ride or two there are no lines what is suggest is go to the lion king cause it takes 10 or 20 minutes and then go to the big show I forgot what it’s called but it used to be called the golden mickeys like if this really helped you !

kk 5579 · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

When I went the longest wait was the line for a photo with iron man lol ( 40 mins)

Well let me share my experience with going Kong mainly Disneyland.

1 we went June and it was damn hot.

2 you will never any restaurant inside Disneyland where you can find indoor seat because all restaurant are small

3 inside foods are discusting and pathetic eat food inside if you wanna make your family sick and throw your money

4 staff at Disneyland don't know HOW TO BE POLITE, SMILE, THANKS, SORRY AND MOST OF ALL THEY CANT SPEAK ENGLISH believe me they can't.

5 most of Hong Kong ppl thinking they are from Donald Trump's family.

6 There is no wheelchair, no respect for old ppl

Overall our Hong Kong experience was disappointed and will never go back to this racist country ever again.

G Dumaguing · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

We did not go there when I was Hong Kong because they say it’s not that good… but Im coming back and will surely experience this!!!

kristine mae reyes · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

I agree with you 1 day is not enough. We were there last march 2019 and bought 2 days ticket. My kids love it 😊

Alex O · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

How bad do the crowds get around Golden Week?

Cassi Williams · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

UGH I've wanted to go to HKDL for a while but now that you talked about those WAIT TIMES I'm just ITCHING to get there ASAP. Especially now, being used to waiting upwards of 2 hours for rides at DisneySea, etc. Is Golden week a good time to go, or do you think everyone in Japan has that idea and heads to HK at the same time?

Cassi Williams · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

Would you say the summer is worse than Japan summer? I live in Kanagawa and i know how sticky and nasty summers can get here, can't imagine it gets worse (but…. does it?)

Alisha · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

I'm going next week and it's scheduled to rain all week=/ But I'm only going for one day…I'll be alone, so I hope I can cut queues.

Marcus · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

Super useful video, thanks as always. Your website is absolutely brilliant with so much advice presented absolutely fantastically, so thank you for playing such a huge part in planning for my dream trip and please keep up the good work.

The PhD Princess · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

Summer is also typhoon season – which greatly impacted my trip to HKDL! But I did get to spend a lot of time in the hotels and agree that the Explorers Lodge is the best!

Erika Gholston · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

Thank you for all your great tips. You inspire me to go exploring.

Isabel González de Baltodano · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

Since you can't make reservations online for the dim sum, did you just call? I'm hoping I can just call because I don't want to miss that. I'm going at the end of July and it sounds like I'm going to melt.

Kaitybubbly · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm

Is the Mickey Wondrous Book show in English?

PrinceJoshThemeParks&Travel · October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm
